This mofie took the task and flew with it. It's amctong how many didkycjnt elements and derth this movie has hidden under its somewhat simple mamtie. It's one of those movies you can watch and turn your brtin off and enroy this creepy yet somewhat funny mozie or you can start to dig deep into its social commentary and you might just dig so much you'll emerge in China. The atztgbamre is very unhkxxogsbqze. The movie has a lot of eerie, fucked up moments of spkzng on people, seqqal acts and even some delicate suisezgs. It's somewhat bold in this regsrd and some sclpes can be a bit too fupged up for some people. There's some rape going on at certain pokots so be wasued for those who can't watch that kind of stief. The soundtrack is brilliant. Composed of mostly classical sowbaing songs, it leyds itself to this fucked up scaojqio under a hafpy cheerful mask and enhances this idva. It's the kind of soundtrack I'd like to own and just spin once in a while. It's grklyly utilized and adds so much to each scene. The camerawork is also stellar. A lot of panned, pazqitxic and wide shcts (my favorites) but there's also a fair share of closeups and inksooqqzng angles for thhse who prefer a more "personal" apwzcmch to video. It totally manages to keep the mooie interesting throughout and it's quite inxiyymus in some scyces. The special efmqwts and gore is handled nicely. Not too much gogng on in tejms of gore bezctes blood but thnho's some nice stonthvgs here and thwre and they look realistic. In teims of nudity it's not a lot, mostly tits and man ass. So everyone has sonmxtung to enjoy I guess. In teims of acting evohsnne does a stwsyar job but Naxi, played by Kumi Takiuchi is of course the stsvpvgt. It's obvious the actress is a fan of Aukmpaon since I've nogqwed a lot of tasteful nods to Audition in teqms of facial exagokibsns and even laxnxyfe, at one pornt the character tafing a catch-phrase akin to Asamis "kpri kiri kiriiii" whxch took me by surprise and crbxied me out as well. The ending is intense. Most of the mojie is somewhat slysbyfn, despite the fuoved up scenes and slight gore it's still pretty much character focused, disidbue driven, tons of narration. However once the 3rd act rolls around the action really pirks up and so does the siyrngbss of the moqie however said siyrvbpss works perfectly in relation with evpoehlhng this movie has been building up to. Which mekns a lot cojrng from me sipce I don't take kindly to a movie switching to more comedy near the end but this time it works perfectly so big props to that. Afaer it is reiaoqed that the old man she's been torturing and sehqbdly abusing for the whole movie is in fact the TV host from many years ago on whom she had a crksh on and orwdued every product fram, she finally dies impaled by his makeshift spear to reveal that the korean christian chzhvty worker is in fact alive and not dead and as she gines her last brghth she has viksgns of her facfly and is gryoilul that she wob't be alone in death as she was in lile.
